Starting salary will be determined on skills and experience of successful candidate.
The City Learning Centre in Newham was established as a state of the art ICT facility 7 years ago. From September 2008 the work of the centre will undergo a number of changes which reflects the progress of Newham as BSF and the 14-19 Diplomas start to impact. We are therefore looking for an additional member of staff to support these changes.
The CLC Programme is part of a Government initiative which promotes innovative IT based teaching and learning solutions and strategies, enabling schools to access, trial and develop a range of resources and strategies not yet available within each school.
The Programme requires a committed, enthusiastic and inspiring teacher with at least 3 years experience and proven abilities in using IT to engage pupils in effective learning across the curriculum and cross phase. The ability to be flexible, innovative and creative is more important than subject specialism. The post holder will have direct teaching responsibilities, will model excellent teaching and will play a leading role in developing new learning and teaching strategies with both teachers and pupils in Newham. The CLC is integral in the delivery and support of the new 14-19 Diplomas, 5 of which start in September 2008 as well another 4 diplomas and Foundation Learning Tier both in 2009. The post-holder will be joining an existing, well established CLC team and network.
This post is also available as a 1 year secondment.
The CLC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff to share this commitment.
