03.06.08 - Newham Arts Festival 2008 - "Bring It ", 6th June-11th July



The "Bring It" Arts Festival is an opportunity to enjoy and celebrate local creative arts, and will showcase the talent of students and teachers in dance, drama, visual arts, media, music and poetry.

The festival is being held from June 6 - July 11 at various venues around Newham.

29.05.08 - Mapping Beyond - INIVA, 4th June-7th July



Over the past year, students in schools and colleges in East London have been collaborating with artists Yara El-Sherbini, Gayle Chong Kwan, Agnes Poitevin-Navarre, Susan Stockwell and Jeremy Wood. In workshops they explored mapping and ideas about identity and place.

Come and see the results in a series of exhibitions in the Education Space at Rivington Place between June and July.

The Mapping Beyond exhibitions are part of Iniva's ongoing Creative Mapping project with schools in the East London area.

The Creative Mapping programme and Mapping Beyond exhibitons series are generously supported by Bloomberg.

01.05.08 - FourElls FilmFestival 2008, 9th June-9th July

The FourElls (Living, Laughter, Life and Love) started life in September 2006 as an innovative and inspirational experience for teachers and young student filmmakers across London.

This year over 40 schools have some together from the London Boroughs of Brent, Hounslow and Haringey to take part in a four-week festival in collaboration with the Tricycle Theatre in Brent, the Watermans Arts Centre in Hounslow, Cineworld Wood Green in Haringey and the British Film Institute in Central London.

Screenings from Monday 9th June to 9th July '08.

04.01.08 - BETT SHOW 2008, Kensington Olympia 9th-12th January

BETT is the world's leading educational information and communications technology (ICT) event, with over 20 years dedicated to showcasing the best in UK and international educational technology products, resources and best practice.

Taking place each January at Olympia in London, BETT attracts 700 educational suppliers and close to 30000 visitors. It brings together the global teaching and learning community for four days of innovations and inspirations.

BETT 2008 takes place on 9 - 12 January 2008, at Olympia in London.
